Step 1: Submit Your Photo (Required for All Scans)

Please upload one clear, front-facing photo of yourself. This should be …

  • A recent photo

  • In good lighting

  • With your full face visible

  • Without filters, hats, sunglasses, or heavy shadows

How to Upload Your Photo in Practice Better

  1. Open the Practice Better app on your phone or desktop.

  2. Tap Messaging at the bottom righthand corner of the screen or by clicking on the chat icon.

  3. Open your message thread with us (Melissa VandenHeuvel & Anthony Curwen)

  4. Tap the “+” button beside the text box.

  5. Tap the image/photo icon.

  6. Choose your photo and send it.

Step 2: Submit Your Voice Clip (for the Inner-Voice Scan)

Your Inner-Voice scan requires a 15-second voice recording. Please follow these guidelines for best accuracy:

Voice Clip Guidelines

  • Speak clearly in a natural, steady tone

  • Avoid pauses or gaps

  • Avoid background noise

  • Use a microphone or headset if possible

  • Begin your recording with the words: “I am…”

Suggested Script

“I am (your full name). I live at (your location). The weather is ___ today.”

How to Record & Send Your Voice Clip in Practice Better (Mobile App Only)

  1. Open the Practice Better app.

  2. Go to Messaging and open our conversation.

  3. Tap the “+” button next to the text box.

  4. Tap the microphone icon.

  5. Press “Record” to record your 15-second message.

  6. Press “Stop” and “Send” when complete.

⚠️ Voice recording can only be done on the mobile app. It is not available on desktop.
